Guppi Bola is a London based consultant. She supports activists and organisations who are building power in social movements, offering coaching and developing political strategy through an anti-oppression lens. The brief was to create a fresh, modern and playful looking brand that reflects Guppi’s Indian roots.
The logo is composed of two elements that work together or separately. The first is a quirky alteration of a well-spaced and humanist typeface, inspired by the typographic practice of street painters in Delhi. The second is a symbol representing profiles of four human faces using the negative space within a shape inspired by Indian ceramic tile designs.
The four faces symbolise the community work that Guppi does, bringing together people for social change. These illustrations were then animated to describe the role of Guppi Bola.
