Amnesty Summer Lab

Since 2011, the island of Lampedusa has hosted the Amnesty Training and Activation Camp for Human Rights. In the island that in recent years has become land-symbol of landing, death and hope, men and women will be found from every part of Italy to see, confront, understand, train with experts and protagonists of migration issues.

Within the macro theme of human rights, issues related to the rights of migrants and refugees will be explored, with a focus on the language of hatred that often attacks this category of people. A journey from the roots of the discrimination that underlies many violations, crossing the complex facets of the current situation and the possible solutions told by experts, protagonists and witnesses.
